Belt Certifications
Yellow Belt Training
This course provides you and/or your staff with the process improvement knowledge and skills to become Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified, thus improving your business focus and effectiveness.
- 9 hours
(One class a week for three hours during the day or at night for three weeks. A certified Master Black Belt or Black Belt will come to your business or hold classes at Tulsa Community College.)
Content
- History of Lean Six Sigma methodology and case histories of successes.
- How to implement 5S, Seven Waste, Line Balance, Cellular Manufacturing, and Standardized Work
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt project – to help learners better understand the benefits of Lean Six Sigma and give employers a faster return on time and resources.
- Group exercises and question & answer periods following every subject for best results on projects. The final class wraps up with a group discussion on the results you achieved and how to best sustain them.
Certification: On satisfactory completion of requirements for this basic course, Blue Brook awards students signed documentation as a Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Green Belt
The full set of requirements for certification as a Lean Sigma Green Belt in two phases of training plus a third phase of testing by practical application.
Green Belt Training – Phase One: 1 week study of Six Sigma and Lean principles
- 40 Hours
Green Belt Training – Phase Two: 1 week study of application and outcomes of Six Sigma and Lean principles
- 40 Hours
Mentor for Success – Phase Three: supervised planning and implementation of the required Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Project applied in the work place
- Individual Mentor Program* 12 one-hour visits
- Class Mentor Program 12 Three-hour visits (100% of the class projects must be at one location)
*Individual Program gives students one on one mentoring with a Master Black belt while completing their Green Belt Projects. The Master Black Belt will make 12 visits to their workplace for one-hour sessions over a period of 3 months to guide students through their first Green Belt Projects. This is especially appropriate for high-potential employees the organization wants to develop for promotion or succession. Certification: On satisfactory completion of requirements in all three phases, Blue Brook awards students signed documentation as a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Black Belt
